Alarming figures from a recent survey conducted by Midlands Police force have discovered that many HGV drivers feel pressured into working over the legally prescribed hours and many more had serious concerns over the mechanical condition of their Lorry. |
| In a survey conducted by police of over 100 drivers at the recent Truckfest in Peterborough; 28 percent of drivers were seriously concerned over the condition of their truck. When asked if the drivers if they felt ‘under pressure’ to drive more than the legal maximum number of hours, 22% were very concerned about this issue. |
